House and shop. Mid to late C19. Smooth rendered, slate roof. Three storeys,
3 windows; at ground floor a fine vigorous range of display windows with 1:3:1 -
1:2:1 bays to small stall-board risers with bold mullions to shouldered heads,
two set-back part-glazed doors, all under deep plain cantered fascia; to left a
6-panel door under a moulded entablature, and, to fascia height a pilaster with
diamond raised rustication. First floor has plate glass sash canted oriel to
low hipped roof on moulded cornice, and 4-pane sash in architrave wall cill on
brackets; the centre bay is plain. At second floor are 3 similar windows
grouped to centre. Plain pilaster corners, to moulded caps, mid string in same
plane, box eaves. Deep gable stacks with moulded cappings; decorative ridge
tiling. A restrained design, very complete, but with especially rich shop
front.
