House, now house and shop. Late C17, refronted and extended mid-C19, with
some mid-C20 alterations. Timber-frame with painted brick infill refronted
and extended in painted brick under a tile roof. Two parallel ranges aligned
east/west, that to south added in C19. The main stack is centrally placed
between the two ranges. West front has two gables with cusped C19 bargeboards
The first floor has two 2-light casements under segmental heads. Ground floor
has two shop fronts, that to right is pilastered with blind box above. The 3-
light window has a recessed entrance to the right with a two-leaf half-glazed
door. To left the other shop front is also pilastered with a 3-light window,
with entrance to left which has a half-glazed door. Framing exposed in north
wall is four rectangular panels high. (RCHM, 3, p 200, no 34).
