GILLING WITH HARTFORTH HIGH STREET
NZ 1805-1905 AND SEDBURY (east side)

14/96 Blacksmith's Forge

GV II

Smithy. Mid C19. Rubble, Welsh slate roof. Single storey, 3 bays.
Quoins. Openings have deep lintels. Central board stable door flanked by
4-pane windows. Ashlar coping. Small chimney at left end. Wrought-iron
weather-vane at right end. Attached at the rear right is the former shoeing
shop with pantile roof. The forge has been reopened and functions as a
blacksmith's workshop. Included for group value.
