6.10.69. Rothwell Cottage

GV II
House early C19 with possibly older rear park. Pecked and margined sandstone;
pantiled roof with old brick stack. Gable end to road 2 storeys and attic, 1
wide bay. Replaced 16-pane sashes on ground and first floors; early C19, 8-pane
sash in attic. Inserted C20 casement at ground floor right. On right return 2
small early C19 sashes and a fixed light. The entrance to Rothwell Cottage is
in the corner of the rear elevation of Chiltern (q.v.).
