9/127 Canal bridge No 50
(between locks 35 & 36)

GV II


Canal accommodation bridge. c1805 with some late C19 and mid-C20 repairs. Brick with
stone copings. Semi-elliptical arch with band above, plain stone-coped
parapet, a pilaster to each end of bridge. Responds repaired in blue brick
to a small degree, as is east parapet. West parapet has collapsed. Included
for group value.
