Walls to Baptist burial
ground at NGR SX 698467

Complete walled enclosure to Baptist burial ground. Walls probably C19, but
could be earlier. Rubble; to flat slate-stone capping under rounded top with
an-edge stones. A run of c.18 m of wall by roadside c.2 m high with central
plank door; at right, higher end a round buttress as gate pier. Walls return at
higher level at right, and completed in near-square enclosure. A mounting block
near centre door. Inside are many monuments including good stone slate slabs;
several include reference to cholera victims. The ground belongs to Kingsbridge
Baptist Chapel.
