Small cottage. Probably C18. Colourwashed rendered cob and stone ; thatched roof,
gabled at ends ; end stacks, the left end stack projecting with a bread oven and a
buttress.
Plan: Single depth 2 room plan cottage with a front door to left of centre. Rear
lean-to probably a later addition.
Exterior: 2 storeys. Asymmetrical 2 window front with a plank and cover strip front
door to left of centre with a gabled rustic porch. 2-light C19 small pane timber
casements, 2 to each floor. Small blocked window on right return.
Interior: Not inspected.
A well-preserved small cottage : group value with Nos. I and 2 Church Road at the
Powderham entrance to Powderham Castle.
