An C18 red brick house. Two storeys. 3-window range, C20 casements.
Central doorway. Roof tiled, with two sloping roofed dormers. A single-storey
wing extends at the north end. A forge stood attached to the north end until it was demolished in the mid-C20. Included for group value.
The Old Forge with Rails Farmhouse and the Windmill Inn form a group.
