15/27 Water and Clock Tower immediately
to south-south-west of Tor Royal

Water and clock tower. Circa late C18, belfry may be slightly later. Granite
rubble with dressed granite pilasters at corners. Copper roof to belfry in hipped
octagon shape. The tower is square on plan and has a door on its front wall facing
into the courtyard. Smaller open octagonal belfry at the top supported on granite
columns. Ball finial to roof with weathervane on top. The belfry is shown in a
drawing of Tor Royal House in 1828.
