G.V, II*

Square column of limestone, 80 feet high, on axis with Holkham Hall. Erected
1729-30. Vermiculated and rusticated base panels. The obelisk stands on the
highest point of the estate and is amid to mark the beginning of building works
for the Hall and Park.
