7/259 Icehouse 10 metres
north-west of
Gardener's Cottage,
Stisted Hall Park


Icehouse. Early C19. Mainly red brick, with some white brick, covered by
earth. Round, with entrance tunnel to N. Ice chamber of conical section with
domed head, half full of debris at time of survey, February 1987. 2 rebated
doorways in tunnel, and rebated arched outer doorway rebuilt. All 3 doors
missing. Otherwise in exceptionally good order.
