11/36 No 36 Ampney Crucis

GV II

Detached cottage with gable end to street. Originally probably
late C17, enlarged or altered and refaced in late C19. Coursed
rubble stone with quoins to front and rear, rubble stone to gable
end, stone slate roof, brick end stack to right. Single range of 2
storeys with added single storey range to south. West front has 2
windows, paired C19 six-pane casements with timber lintels. Ground
floor has 3-light ovolo-moulded stone mullion with leaded casements
to right and C19 four-panel door in chamfered stone surround to
left. Former doorway in wing to right now has paired casement with
timber lintel. Lower original roof line evident in gable end wall
to street.
