Noverton Farmhouse


Barn and stables. Mid-C18. Brick with plain tiled roof. Partly two levels
with dentilled eaves cornice. Approximately 10 bays aligned north/south.
Barn at south end is of three bays with central wagon bay and opposed cart
entries with cambered heads. East elevation has six windows at ground floor
level and eight doors; most have cambered heads. Above are seven loft open-
ings; also external brick steps to loft at north end. Diaper ventilation
patterns and owl hole at south gable end. Interior: Barn has intermediate
king-post trusses.
