Dovecote. C15. Random rubble, Doulting stone with ashlar quoins and coved free-stone eaves. Stone slate coped gable
roof with moulded kneelers and cruciform finials. Single storey rectangular plan 4-centred chamfered arch stone door
frame with keyed stone relieving arch over at mid point of south elevation. Vertical boarded and lopped door. Later,
possibly C19, square head door opening on North side. Single-light 4-centred head with spandrels, stone framed, moulded
opening in east gable. Interior; 3 bays, 2-'A' frame trusses with collars and single row of purlins, ashlared rafters.
Nesting holes on 4 sides in 3 tiers, approximately 670. Scheduled Ancient Monument (Somerset County No 291). (Abbot
