2 houses with roof formerly one. Mid-late C18. Coursed rubble and stone slate.
Central entry with additional door to right. 2 storeys, 4 first-floor windows. To
left, Sorrel Sykes: 8-panel door with upper 2 panels glazed, in pilastered doorcase
carrying wide plain frieze and moulded cornice. Small blocked window in chamfered
surround to immediate left, and 2 sashes with glazing bars in keyed milled stone
surronds to far left. To right, Welbecks: 8-panel door with overlight in plain
stone surround flanked by sashes with glazing bars in plain stone surrounds. First
floor: sashes with glazing bars. Gable coping, shaped kneelers:. Rebuilt left end
stack and ridge stack. This building was formerly part of the workhouse.
