Bicton Farmhouse

GV II

Barn and cowhouse. Early-to-mid C18 and early C19. Coursed
limestone rubble, weatherboarded timber frame, and slate and graded
stone slate roof. L-plan. Left-hand range of 5 framed bays with
gabled loft entry to left, low double-doors to right and 2 ground
floor boarded hatches to left; lean-to at left-hand end; gabled
rubble mill projection to North-east, retaining pinion and some
machinery. Right-hand range partially timber framed, 2 end
bays of rubble; 2 stable doors and 2 windows on ground floor, and
lean-to filling angle of Lto left. Interior: left-hand range
with queen strut trusses and staggered purlin roof.
