House. 'CN 1737' in iron letters on front. Red brick, dark with lighter
red dressings. Alternate blue headers to arches and Flemish-bond. Steep
old red tile roof with projecting boarded eaves between brick corbels. A
nearly symmetrical 5 windows wide 2-storeys and cellar house facing E.
Front has plinth, plat-bond, slightly recessed original cross-windows
with iron opening lights and rectangular leaded glazing. Segmental
arches to ground floor and cellar openings. 7 steps to 2-panels moulded
front door in heavy frame with mullioned 2-light fanlight under moulded
flat hood. Iron letters flank window over door. Shadow of an original
single-storey pitched roof wing on N end now gone. Internal gable
chimneys at each end. Rear wall has plat-band interrupted by
cross-window to central stair, one cross-window to 1st floor and a
2-light mullioned window to ground floor both near N end. Shadow of a
steeply pitched roof of S end wing, single-storey to front but 2-storey
to rear.
