Farmhouse. C17, eaves raised to front and remodelled late C18 with
later additions and alterations. Timber framed with painted brick
infill; machine tile roof. Baffle-entry plan apparently of 5 framed
bays. 2 storeys. Framing: small square panels, 3 from cill to original
wall-plate to front with long straight tension braces, one square panel
above; part of ground floor rebuilt in brick and stone; left gable
end has original principal rafters exposed. Irregular fenestration;
late C19 and C20 casements, mostly in panels of framing, 3 grouped
to left, 2 pairs grouped to left and right of centre and single casement
to right, all directly below eaves; ground floor has 3 casements to
left and 2 to right. C20 nail-studded door to right of centre with
red brick ridge stack immediately to left. Interior: not inspected
but likely to be of interest.
