Cottage. C17 with later additions and alterations. Timber framed with
painted brick infill and painted uncoursed rubble to gable ends, graded
slate roof. 2-cell plan. One storey and attic; framing: irregular
square and rectangular panels, 3 from cill to wall-plate; one mid-C19
fixed-light window to left of roughly central 4-panel door, gabled eaves
dormer to right; integral end stack with red brick shaft to left.
C20 flat-roofed extension to right not of special architectural interest.
Formerly known as No. 1, Railway Cottage.
