- II

Farmhouse. Early C17 with later additions and alterations. Timber
framed with rendered and painted brick infill on high painted brick plinth;
painted brick addition to right; corrugated iron roof. Apparently originally
a 2-cell house of end baffle-entry type, extended to right in C18 or C19
converting it to 3-unit baffle-entry plan. One storey and attic. Framing:
square panels, one above high plinth to front and rear. C20 casements
to far left and right and 3-light C19 casement to left of C20 panelled
door under wide gabled C20 porch to right of centre. This has red brick
ridge stack directly above; external end stack to right. C19 red brick
lean-to to rear on left. Interior. Inspection not possible at time
of resurvey (November 1986) but likely to be of interest.
