II*
Dovecote. Circa 1600 or possibly earlier, re-erected on present site in 1752 for Sir Edmund Pytts. Sandstone rubble lined with brick, and conical plain tiled roof. Circular plan.

There is a continuous stone band running about three feet beneath eaves level. On the west side is a round-headed doorway and there is also a small square-headed doorway to the south-east. The roof has four gabled dormers with two-light leaded casement windows. The square timber lantern with cross-gabled roof has fallen down and is stored inside the dovecote.

Interior: there are about 600 nesting holes arranged in 20 tiers with stone alighting ledges. The potence survives in complete working order.

The dovecote was originally sited to the south of Kyre Park House (qv). Scheduled Monument together with the Tithe Barn (qv).
