Cottage. c1720. Timber framed with colourwashed brick infilling,
thatched roof. Single storey and attic, 2 bays, with mid C20
outbuilding to right beyond major stack, and late C20 single storey
wing to rear. Framing 3 panels high with corner braces. Four
panelled door at lower end of main heated room, within open rustic
porch. C19 timber casement windows and thatch swept over two flush
dormers to upper floor. Gable stack to right. Roof half hipped to
left. Outbuilding tiled with end stack.
Interior: stack of chalkstone. Main heated room has open
fireplace with timber lintel and run-out chamfer stops. Spine
beam with ogee stops. Central roof truss has wattle and daub
infilling and plated yoke apex.
