6/11 Barn, 40m north-east of
Vale Farmhouse

GV II

Barn, late C17. 5 bays with lower 3-bay range to left. Timber-framed and
weatherboarded. Pantiled roof. Various C20 boarded doors; the centre bay of
the main barn formerly had large doors. Complete late C17 framing: full-
height studding with long primary braces. Clasped purlin roof. The range to
left was probably a stable or cow-house and a later addition. Included for
group value.
