TM 37 SE WALPOLE THE STREET

House. Later C16. Timber framed and plastered; the roof has
concrete double Roman tiles to the front and pantiles to the
rear. 2 storeys. Various casement windows. Lobby entrance:
mid C19 doorcase with reeded pilasters, frieze and cornice;
mid C20 half-glazed door. Internal stack. There are later
additions to the east and south, the latter linking with a
single storey range of former cottages now used for storage.
Interior with some exposed joists and framing; there is a
cambered tie beam.
