adjoining warehouses

Warehouses. Dated 1864. Dressed stone with rusticated quoins
and ashlar dressings. Hipped slate roof with heavily moulded
eaves cornice with blocking course, on console brackets. 3 storeys
with sill bands, and panelled frieze on dentilled cornice over
ground floor. 3 bay frontage by 2 bays on corner site. 3 bay
symmetrical facade with tall central doorway with double panelled
door and deep segmental headed fanlight. Shield with ram, and
date 1864. Windows to left and right with segmental head and deep
keystone and architrave surround, with ashlar apron. 1st floor
windows are paired with round arched heads and architraves.
3 simple lights to 2nd floor. The 2 bays to left are detailed
as main facade. To the left of this are 2 warehouse blocks, of
slightly later date, the 1st of which is of 4 bays of windows
similar to before but with simple treatment and a loading door
to each floor. The 2nd block is of 3 bays by 10 bays deep by
4 storeys. The 3 bay frontage has central loading door to each
floor. Ground floor windows are segment headed. Paired, round
arched windows to 1st and 2nd floors, and simple lights to 3rd floor.
The side elevation has 10 bays of industrial casements with raised
sills.
