GV II

Club, formerly Town Hall. c 1850. Rendered brick, Welsh slate hipped roof.
Large, free standing block with parapet, central section slightly set forward
recent extensions at rear. Two storeys, five-windowed, sashes, some with
glazing bars, in moulded architraves. Two doric columns in antis with plain
architrave and cornice, recessed entry with three-panelled double doors
flanked by small sashes in side-lights. Included principally, for former
significance as Town Hall. VCH quotes as '... being built in 1849 ...'.
