Peach Tree Cottage

II

Detached house; C17; timber-framed, rendered panels, tiled roof.
Two-room building adjoining road, two storeys, upper half in roof.
Frame two panels high, joists tenoned through studs and pegged.
Two 2-light wooden casement windows, with iron opening lights to
ground floor: gabled dormer above with similar window. Tension
braces in gable to right, with two collars to truss; gable to left
rendered, with brick chimney at apex: door on left. On rear wall
half applied head and sill for original canted oriel window
survive, cut by extension built in 1970's, linking to former farm
building.
Internally ceiling joists on ground floor chamfered, with run-out
stop.
