House in row, with shop. Late C18 front, probably to earlier
fabric. Rendered front over Flemish bond brickwork. Front
range, over a throughway to the left, and with a parallel back
range. 3 storeys and basement, 2-windowed. 9-pane over 12-pane
sashes to stone cills. C19 shop front with central recessed
glazed door under a transom-light, and plate glass display
windows in octagonal shafts to small capitals carrying arched
heads, on a moulded cill and stall riser. To the left a C19
two-panel door under a blocked transom-light, and all to
pilasters, with a full-width deep fascia with moulded cornice
and shaped console brackets. There is a blocked cellar opening
to the right. Plain coped parapet. Inside the display front
are 2 shafted and banded cast-iron 'Batty Langley' columns.
The back has a wing, hipped at the inner end, in 3 storeys,
2-windowed, including 16-pane sash at first floor. INTERIOR
not inspected.
