Includes: No.79 Danesmere AYLESTONE HILL.
House. Early C19. Painted brick; hipped Welsh slate roof;
brick end stack, to right; C19 ornamented stack to left. 2
storeys; 3-window range: central 6/6 sash, flanked by 10/10
sashes, under segmental arches. Central entrance:
margin-glazed panelled door under segmental arch, in late C19
porch with double doors, panelling and coloured
margin-glazing; flanked by, to left, 8/8, to right, 10/10
sashes. All sashes have louvred shutters. Wing to right,
probably added, has two 10/10 sashes, and 1 to ground floor,
all under segmental arches, and with shutters. Left returned
side: late C19 brick bay with tier of 10/10 sashes. Rear wing
(Danesmere) added c1880: brick; slate roof; various stacks;
2/1 sashes, some in bay windows; terracotta and moulded brick
ornamentation; conservatory.
