GV II

Small house in row. C16, later modifications. Light box
timber-framing, brick nogging and underbuild, tiled roof,
brick stack. 2 storeys and attic, 1-windowed. Small 2-light
dormer set well up on slope, 2+1-light casement, and 3-light
casement to ground floor. Stable door, right. C20 stack, back
left. INTERIOR not inspected. Part of an important early group
facing Abbey Mills (qv), and on a raised pavement (qv) to
reduce risk of annual flooding. The name derives from the pump
on the paving opposite.
