Semi-detached villas. 1830-2, partly refenestrated late C19
and mid C20. Architect C.A.Busby. Stucco over brick and
rubble, bitumen-covered hipped slate roofs with boarded
overhanging eaves. Double-fronted. 3 storeys over basement,
1:3:3:1 bays, double bow fronted with entrances in outer bays,
flat string courses and rusticated ground floors, sash windows
without glazing bars except for one window of No.23,
continuous canopy hoods to first floor fixed light windows
carried on cast-iron supports with cast-iron balcony to No.23,
renewed to No.21, flat-roofed pilaster porches with bottle
balustrade (missing from No.21) approached by flight of steps,
rectangular fanlights and C20 doors. No.21 with long return
including 21A abutting Nos 7-9 Lansdowne Square (qv); 4:3
bays, 2 canted bays at second floor level left, double garage
doors and half-glazed C20 door to No 21A.
