GV II

Warehouse on wharf and quay walls. Early/mid C19. Killas
rubble with granite quoins and jambstones; segmental brick
arches; all on battered quay walls of large partly dressed
granite blocks; steep, part bitumen-grouted dry Delabole slate
roofs with hipped return on the right. 3 storeys plus attics;
2-window range river frontage. Window/loading
doorway/window/loading doorway to each floor: two 9-pane
windows, 2 louvred windows and 2 shuttered windows; boarded
doorways except to left-hand upper floors with part glazing
with vertical glazing bars and random panes. Other elevations
similarly detailed and with various, mostly old doors and
glazing. INTERIOR retains its original floor and roof
structures. This building appears to be shown on the 1840s
tithe map. Groups with the Anchor Warehouse (qv) and the quay
walls, Quay Hill (qv).
