Town house now office. c1600; front rebuilt c1768; alterations
c1840 including entrance and parapet. Timber-frame with ashlar
dressings to roughcast front; tile roof with slate to front
pitch and brick rear stacks. 3 storeys, symmetrical 3-window
range; centre breaks forward and is slightly higher;
single-storey wings. Top cornice and crenellated parapet.
Ogee-headed entrance and side lights have triple shafts to
altered timber hood; fanlight with decorative glazing bars
over 6-fielded-panel door and 8-pane sashes. Windows of paired
ogee-headed lights in ashlar surrounds with 8-pane sashes, but
2nd floor has single lights with 6-pane sashes. Wing to left
has entrance and window with rubbed brick flat arches and
keys; similar wing to right with blocked windows. Returns are
timber-framed with close studding; canted oriel with hipped
roof and leaded glazing, and 2 early rainwater heads to right,
triangular-headed window with 6-panel horned sash to left. 2
timber-framed rear wings with stacks, one with with diagonal
shafts; rainwater head dated 1768. INTERIOR: staircase c1730.
