Town house, now hotel. 1774-9. Brick with buff headers and
ashlar dressings; tile roof with brick end stacks. Georgian
style. 2 storeys; 2-window range. Plaster plinth; platt bands
and quoins; top timber frieze and cornice; stone-coped gables
with kneelers. Entrance to left of centre has pilasters and
consoled cornice to 6-fielded-panel door; round-headed entry
to right end. Ground floor has window to left of entrance with
bracketed sill, eared architrave with key and 12-pane sash;
canted bay window to right of entrance has 4:16:4-pane sashes.
1st floor has windows similar to ground floor left, but with
triple keys over 4:16:4-pane tripartite sashes; attic has 2
hipped dormers with 2-light leaded casements. Altered rear
wing.
