Terrace of 9 shops. Late C19, restored c1990. Coursed rusticated ashlar with ashlar dressings and slate roofs. Bracketed eaves, plain sill and impost bands. 3 storeys and dormers. 3 and 4 windows each. Gabled dormers, Nos 69 and 71 altered. Round arched 1st and 2nd floor windows; 1st floor with splayed bay window. Ground floor shop frontages mostly altered (except No 81). Good original cast iron shopping arcades with reeded columns painted black with decorative details high-lighted with gold leaf and glazed roofs. Incl~ded for shopping arcades, the last to survive in Harrogate.
