Farmhouse. C17 with late C19 additions. Coursed and dressed squared
rubble to C17 part, red brick to C19. Tiled roof, verge parapets on
shaped corbelled kneelers to C17 work; brick end stacks, zig-zag
shape to right. In 2 parts: low C17 range of single storey and attic
and 3 windows to right; 2 ranges of 4-light chamfer-mullion windows,
cavetto labelled to ground floor and half-dormers to first, transomed
and reduced to 2 lights at eaves with pent roof over, possibly formerly
intended to lie under thatch; small centre light at first floor; boarded
door under heavy lintel to right; attached, taller, 2-casement window, C19
wing to left with central entrance. Further C17 chamfer mullioned 2-light
windows to rear in 2 pairs, closer-set at first floor level, cavetto
labelled to ground floor. Interior: 2-room plan; stone heck screen to
smokebay, inserted stack with heavily-coved lintel and lit by window to
rear; timber-framed central division in square framing with C17 panelled
door to rear.
