Small country house. 1820s with minor later additions. Hopton stone in
ashlar blocks; hipped slate roof invisible behind blocking course;
corniced ashlar ridge stacks. 2-storey, 2:1:2 front; glazing bar sashes
with low-relief beaux-arts style pediments; deep plinth, string at first
floor level and cyma recta moulding below blocking course; outer pairs
of windows are set in slight breaks inset from angles. Central entrance
set in flat-roofed Tuscan porch with frieze supported by paired columns;
steps lead to part-glazed double doors with overlight. Single-storey bay
to right side with tripartite sash. Interior: entrance hall runs through
to arch entering stair hall with marble staircase and cast iron balusters.
Tuscan Purbeck marble fireplaces in principal rooms.
