GV II

Pair of houses. Mid C18. Coursed squared ironstone, slate roofs, brick end
stacks, 2 -unit plans, 2-storey, 4-window range. No. 23 has central C20 door in
pegged wood surround with wood lintel and curved metal hood on brackets. A
2-light casement to left, C20 shop window to right and 2-light casements to
first floor, all with wood lintels. Eaves built up in brick following removal of
thatch. No. 25 has central 6-panel, part-glazed door with straight-hood an
brackets. 3-light casement windows to ground floor and first floor right, a
4-light casement to first floor left, all with wood lintels. Blocked attic
window in right gable with double-chamfered stone surround.
