Former cow-house approx. 30 metres east
of Thorncroft Farm Cottage

GV II

Cow-house, now garage and store. Late C18 or early C19; altered. Tarred
weatherboarded timber frame on brick plinth, red tile roof. Rectangular plan on
north-south axis. The west front has a doorway in the centre and a loading door
immediately above this breaking through the eaves, with a hipped dormer roof;a
simple board band run out from the lintel between these doors, and beneath the
right-hand end of this a very shallow horizontal window. Hipped roof. The left
end has inserted garage doors. The rear has a stable door in the centre, 2 widely
spaced casement windows, and another door to a former outbuilding at the south
end. Interior not inspected.
