House, now divided into 2 dwellings. Late C17 with C19 and c20 alterations.
ironstone banded with limestone, slate roof, brick end stacks. 2-unit plan. 2
storeys and attic; 2-window range. Old plank door to far left with stone lintel
and key block, C20 door to right of centre with stop-chamfered wood lintel.
3-light casement windows to ground and 1st floors with stone lintels and
key-block, Sill of cellar window to right has been lowered to form door.
Chamfered plinth to right gable end facing street, ironstone quoins and kneelers
of former stone-coped gables. Lower 2-storey extension to left of coursed
squared ironstone. Interior has stop-chamfered spine beams. No,51 has open
fireplace with chamfered bressumer. Included for group value.
