Mews. 1862. Two storeys, stock brick, built on steep slope with the houses stepped
down. Nos 1 and 35 are at the bottom of the slope, Nos 34 and 67 at the top. Ground
floor consists of garage doors to uphill part of elevation; four folds. Stone lateral
steps up to downhill part of elevation with iron railings. Segmental headed window on
stairs. Segmental headed small door below stairs. Top floor with iron railed balcony
across front, 2 sashes, central door with fanlight. Stuccoed cornice and balustrade.
Each house is stepped down and some houses are unsuitably altered with ground floors
remodelled or stairs removed; some without balustrades. Buildings of unusual design
and of marked picturesqueness.
