Pair of houses. Mid-late C18. Coursed limestone rubble, pantile roof. 2 storeys,
4 windows to 1st floor; continuous outshut to rear. Wallstone plinth. Central
boarded door (to No 7) in chamfered ashlar surround with cambered lintel. On
each side two 4-light wooden casements with projecting sills, horizontal glazing
bars and wooden lintels. 1st floor: four 2-light, horizontally-sliding sashes
with horizontal glazing bars beneath flat arches. Shaped kneelers and gable
copings on right. 2 stone ridge stacks with brick dentil courses. Left return:
added timber porch (not of special interest) covers gable entrance to No 9.
