War Memorial at
junction of Church
Street and Wales Road

War memorial. Mid 1920's. Marble. Square-sectioned pedestal with moulded
plinth and cornice surmounted by well-carved statue of an infantryman in full
battle dress. Inscription dedicates the memorial to the men of the parish lost
in the Great War and adds: "THIS MONUMENT WAS ERECTED BY THE PARISHONERS".
Later inscriptions record the dead of 1939-45 and of later conflicts.
