GV II

House. C17 with late C18 brick skin. An extra storey added
early C19. Brick. Roof of black glazed pantiles. 3 storeys,
irregular bay system. Panelled door set to right within
panelled reveals, the doorcase with reeded jambs and a metope
frieze under the hood. Traceried overlight. One late C18 sash
to right with glazing bars and a gauged skewback arch. One
sash to each floor above door with similar details, and one
sash to each floor to left of door, those to the ground and
first floors are tripartite. Similar details. Second floor
windows are early C19. Low parapet and gabled roof. West
internal gable stack. INTERIOR. Ground-floor west room with a
chamfered bressumer to the fireplace. Panelled bridging beam.
Rear west room has C17 panelling and, in the west wall, are 3
wall arches: outer 2 are semi-circular, centre one elliptical.
These are supported on pilasters with exaggerated reeding. 2
principal first-floor rooms also panelled. Staircase with
stick balusters.
