Accommodation bridge. c1885. For Spennymoor Branch of North
Eastern Railway Co. Rock-faced stone with ashlar dressings.
High horseshoe shaped arch, with stepped voussoirs on impost
string, allows farm track to pass under railway line. Large
snecked masonry walls with ashlar rail-bed string. Parapets
flanking former railway line are large coursed squared stone,
with sloping tooled ashlar coping continuing over rectangular
section end piers. Retaining walls of railway embankment flank
approaches and have coping similar to rail parapets, curving
down to square piers.
