House, now offices. c1770 with mid C19 additions. Brick with
ashlar dressings; 2-span slate roof with brick end stacks.
Double-depth plan. Georgian style. 3 storeys; symmetrical
3-window range. Plastered plinth, ground and 1st floor sill
bands and top wooden cornice. Round-headed entrance has
doorcase with battered panelled pilasters, entablature blocks
and open pediment, fanlight with radial glazing bars over
glazed door. Ground floor has two C19 ashlar bay windows each
with angle pilasters, frieze and cornice, tripartite window
with 4-pane sash; 1st and 2nd floors have windows with rubbed
brick flat arches, over 12-pane sashes to 1st floor, and over
6-pane sashes with sills to 2nd floor. Left return has C20
tile hanging. 2-storey rear wing. Interior: noted as having
open-well staircase with stick balusters and moulded cornices.
