GV II

House, now gallery. Early C19 remodelling of earlier
structure. Incised stucco with stone plinth; swept, gabled
slate roof. Double-depth plan. 2 storeys with half basement;
2-window range. C20 door to left with late C19 horned 1/1-pane
sash adjoining left jamb and horned tripartite sash to right.
Above the door is a canted bay with a panelled plinth and 3
single fixed sheets of glass; a late C19 horned 1/1-pane sash
to 1st floor right. INTERIOR: to the right of the door is a
plank-and-muntin screen, half removed; in the basement are
chamfered joists to ground floor. First floor has a c1810
fireplace. SUBSIDIARY FEATURES: spearheaded forecourt railings
on low stone plinth have a gate with working hinge and catch.
