Farmhouse. Late C17, extended C18, altered. Roughcast over red
sandstone, graduated slate roof. 2 storeys and attic, 3
windows to 1st floor; later, 2-storey, single-window side wing
against east gable. South side: two C20 casements to ground
floor and 3 above have projecting stone sills and plain
lintels; left part retains C17 dripmoulds interrupted by the
windows. Roof has oversailing verges, circular end stack on
left and irregular end stack on right. Side wing on right:
door on left of broad C20 casement in stone surround with
ovolo-moulded jambs; similar window to 1st floor. Tall end
stack on right. Rear (facing farmyard): central staircase wing
with chamfered window openings. INTERIOR: chamfered,
triangular-headed, ashlar fireplace to ground floor left.
Blocked windows visible within the stair turret. Attic: 2
blocked windows to each end, east gable has cantilevered stack
and soot trace of former smokehood. 2 trusses with curved
principals which cross to support diagonally-set ridge.
