GV II

Milestone, C18. Painted granite. Square with an ogee-moulded head; standing
on the south side of Lower Road. About 0.5m high; now buried to perhaps half
the original height, being within a bank. Near the head of two sides is a
carved pointing hand with a frilled cuff. Painted Roman numerals: IPS.XV.
STOW.III. BURY XI.
