House and 2 cottages. House probably late C16. Stone coursed rubble; stone slate
roof; stone end stack to right; rendered brick end stack to left. Probably
originally a hall house, altered 2-unit through-passage plan. 2 storeys and
attic; 3-bay, 2-window range. Sash door to left of centre with wood lintel.
3-light casements to left, and to right of centre. Single-light casement between
ground and first floors to right. Raking half-dormers with 3-light casements to
first floor left, and to first floor right of centre. Gabled dormers to left of
centre, and to right. Interior: trenched-purlin roof with signs of
smoke-blackening. Wood winder staircase from ground floor to first floor. Wood
straight-flight staircase with winders from first floor to attic. Open fireplace
to ground floor right, probably inserted into smoke bay. Part of through-passage
now forms dining alcove. Attached cottages. Probably C17, with later
alterations. Stone coursed rubble; stone slate roof; stone stacks. Single storey
and attic; 5-window slate roof; stone stacks. Single storey and attic; 5-window
range. Sash door with C20 stone porch to left of centre. Sash door with wood
porch to right of centre. Irregular fenestration of casements, except 6-pane
sashes to right. Gabled dormers to left and to right of centre. Cross-gables to
centre. Interiors not inspected.
